"I have been to the Grapevine and made a few purchases in the past and have always dealt with Alex who has always been great to talk to and isvery educated when it comes to good beer. Today I stopped in and met the owner David for the first time. Super nice guy who seemed more like a regular BA not someone trying to sell me a beer. We talked about a few types and he made some suggestions. The growler station always seems to have 2 or 3 great beers ready to flow. I live about 45 minutes away but my work takes me this way quite often so I see myself becoming more of a regular. As far as selection I seem to always pick up something here that I can't find a few miles across the boarder in N.C.  While there today in stock was D.O.R.I.S., Black Ops, Barrel Aged B.O.R.I.S., Expresso Yeti, Ten Fidy on tap and many more! All around great place to pick up some great beers to go or just grab a pint to drink there and have some great conversation."

"I love coming here. The music and atmosphere set this place apart. This is not your typical wine bar. It is not uncommon for the owner to come out from behind the bar and talk wine, beer, music, or anything else that is on your mind.  Great place and I love its success."

Karl Wichmann
"THE place for great wine, great beers and great people. ...and free wi-fi for us mobile bidness folk!"

Teresa Quick Smith
"Love the atmosphere and broad selection you have. The staff feel more like friends when I am there. Great entertainment on the weekends and always good conversations and laughter. Love you guys!!"

"FOUR STAR ratings on yelp.com from Terri P in Fort Mill, SC on 3/3/2010

"Cozy and convenient place. Very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive bartender.

"Stopped by for a couple glasses of wine with an old friend and thoroughly enjoyed learning about the varieties of wine that the bartender thought I might enjoy. Trusted his judgement and tried a few and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is very nice--not too big, not too small, nicely decorated, and quite cozy, I think. I've heard the food is good, but I've not yet tried it myself. I certainly intend to though."

"A+ rating on beeradvocate.com from ddtprm in Charlotte, NC on 1/27/2010:

"My buddy and I stopped in for the first time yesterday. We were greeted by the owner who is extremely knowledgeable about beer and obviously very passionate about it. I was glad to see they carry Southern Tier
which I haven't had since I left Ohio. The growler station is clutch and the draft beer selection is all top notch stuff. I was given a sample of Foothills DIPA which I had not had before. I then enjoyed a glass of '08 vintage Founders Imperial Stout...outstanding. I will definitely be going back soon."

FIVE STAR rating on yelp.com from c a in York, SC on 9/12/2009

"Some beer enthusiast friends took me to this place a few months ago, I've been back several times since. I had driven by several times and just assumed it was a fancy wine shop, boy was I wrong.

I was astounded by the selection of hard to find craft beers, at decent prices (for craft beer). These guys have a wall that is literally filled with beer bottles 6' high.

The bartenders really make or break a place like this. The guys who are usually there are knowledgeable and are able to make good recommendations."

A+ rating on beeradvocate.com from hopmeister in Morgantown, PA on 4/6/2009

"I was brought here by a friend from Fort Mill - what a great little treasure. Now every trip to Charlotte requires a trip to The Grapevine.

First off, it is great to see such a wide variety of beer and wine in the same shop. The owner, Dave Sills seems to have a real passion for beer and it shows in his establishment. Service has been top notch on each visit and I think the same people have been behind the bar each time I have visited.  The menu listings are limited but they will chill any bottle you bring off the shelf.  If you are in the Charlotte area it's worth the drive down to Fort Mill to visit and say hi, you won't regret it ...."

"92 POINTS rating on ratebeer.com from CoachJT in Columbia, SC on 10/23/2008

"This place is amazing. From the incredible craft beer amd hard-to-find wine selection, to Dave (the owner) being just an all around great guy, it makes me a bit sad that I don’t get up to Fort Mill more often."
